2014

In December 2013 The Unique Umbrella was one of 80+ businesses nominated for a Bobb (Best of Bolingbrook Business) Award. On Friday March 28, The Unique Umbrella won the Bobb award in the Rising Star catagory. We are so honored to have been nominated and grateful for being chosen as the winner in this catagory. We hope this wil give us some additional attention and will generate additional business in the community. We have seen orders as a direct result of the evening of the Bobb award, for which we are so grateful.

Our Desire is to create a business that will celebrate and honor life’s milestones, and its precious memories: To create products and services that reflect our vision allowing our clients to hold on to precious memories in a beautiful way that can be proudly displayed. To move them from a shoe box in a closet to a prominent place in their home or office.

To create products that help people remember how precious relationships are and to help and encourage them build those relationships, in turn allowing us to continue and expand on serving and building up our local community.

It is our heart’s desire to build a community that welcomes every walk of life. To meet the needs of those who are underserved and help them grow from their situations into citizens that build community. To be good stewards and use all that we have been blessed with to help others and serve them, their family and their needs. To take what is in front of us and solve the issue, find a solution or find someone who can. To direct, connect and lead in any way we are able to help people, to build positive and healthy relationships.

Corporate Citizenship and community involvement are at the very core of what we believe every business and individual should be doing. We believe it is not only part of life, but a way of life. We do not just say this we live this as you will see in our involvement that will be later discussed. We believe each person is blessed with unique gifts and talents that are not just for them, but to be shared with the community as a whole. They were intended to be given and shared with others. We live by a saying “Use the gifts you are given to serve others faithfully.” 1 Peter 4:10. We believe we are to be stewards of our gifts and talents as well as the money we are given. This means not for our own selfish gain, but for the benefit of those around us.

We give our time and money back to the community. Each month we set aside a percentage of our earnings to be given away in the community. We deal with our time in the same way, helping who we can, when we can.

The Unique Umbrella is the parent company of three other companies each with a unique mission and market: Crates of love, Etched with Love, and Community Conduit - Each celebrating and honoring relationships uniquely, Each of which are described on their page on this website, and on their own webites.
